Job description
We have a position available in our Logistics team for a Business Development Manager – Road Freight
This role would be ideally suited to someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in European Freight Forwarding, or someone who has worked for a European Trailer Operator, so they would already have a good understanding of the requirements regarding Customs procedures since Brexit.
The job involves contacting new businesses and offering our full load, part load and express van solutions plus much more. You will be running this like your own business and will need to continue searching for new business whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service to add to your existing portfolio.
Some other responsibilities include ensuring that export paperwork is organised correctly, keeping clients updated and dealing with any customer requests. Additionally it would involve checking supplier invoices and supporting paperwork.
We would also consider an applicant with no prior forwarding experience, so this could be an ideal opportunity to start a career in European Freight forwarding.
The successful candidate would need to have good computer and communication skills.
Hours 8:00-16:00hrs – Monday to Friday – 4 Weeks Holiday
Salary negotiable depending on experience, company car allowance & a brilliant bonus structure.
